It's amazing how much a character association can enhance my enjoyment of a song. To be honest, I'd got quite tired of Cake.

Then I realized just how perfect "Short Skirt, Long Jacket" is for Shalua. I've been humming it for a while now.

(Why do I like Shalua as much as I do, considering how fucking terrible Dirge of Cerberus--and especially everything in DoC relating to Shelke, dear god its a trainwreck of bad writing, bad character creation, and just general bad terribleosity? I guess it's that she hits my "competent women" button, my devotion button, my "ice queens allowed to remain icy" button... And yet she manages to be close friends with Yuffie? It's like six kinks in one with a side of badass. Now if only she weren't related to Shelke, le sigh.)
