Embers is now on Chapter 56. I adore the fic, I really do (especially now that Kenshin and Kaoru have cameo'd; I'm waiting for Misao and Aoshi), but I'm actually getting kind of tired of it.

I want to see more RK work from her.

Now, excuse me, I'm going to off and whine like an entitled child.

I'll whine with you. I much prefer her RK stuff to Embers. ...Okay, well, I never bothered to start reading Embers because...I kind of like reading adorkable Zuko more than powered-up!Zuko. One of these days I'll try it out. ~~oh begeezers 56 chapters wat~~

Witchy Woman/Blades of Blood seriously needs to be continued. SERIOUSLY.

Oh my god I want a sequel to "Witchy Woman" so bad. SO BAD I COULD DIE OF IT. Why has she not written it? T_T

And Zuko's still pretty adorkable and awkwaaaaaard in "Embers." He definitely gets powered up, but he still gets whumped on, I feel. IDK. I do like the fic. I'm just tired of it.

And you know what I really, really want a sequel to? "Shadows in Starlight." Please god yes I need that in my life so bad words cannot even. The Shishio arc in a Star Wars Shared Universe AU? PLEASE VATHARA PLEASE.

OMG I am re-reading that fic right now you are psychic, clearly. I don't know a thing about Star Wars (other than of course "I am your father") but it's so fun to read!

Most of the times it seems Vathara uses the Jin-e arc. Shishio arc needs some love! ~~what do you mean it's the longest and most complicated~~

She's a Kenshin/Kaoru shipper, and that arc is pretty much GOLD for Kenshin/Kaoru interactions. It's nice to see her blend Jin-e and Kanryuu arcs, though.

And yeah, I've noticed that she has to write any fic with more than passing references to the Shishio arc. Not that I can blame her; it's a damned huge arc. One fic dealing with the Shishio arc would be the size of Embers at least.

Also: OMG "Shadows in Starlight" only gets better if you're at least a little familiar with the Star Wars Expanded Universe. Have you seen the movies, at least?

Well, the Enishi arc has a lot of stuff for Kenshin/Kaoru stuff too, but yeaaaaaah that's far ahead so I can see why Vathara hasn't gone towards that crossover territory.

....uuum I think I saw the first three movies (ie, 4/5/6 with Luke) but I have forgotten pretty much everything except "I am your father." I honestly don't even remember why they were fighting in the first place. >> Among the many, many, many things I need to catch up on...

Oy! I'd say "OMGOMG MAKE TIME TO AT LEAST RE-WATCH THE PHANTOM MENACE, BECAUSE IT IS GLORIOUS TO SEE LIAM NEESON AND EWAN MCGREGOR BE SO GAY AT EACH OTHER" but it's an awful awful movie, and re-watching the trilogy would take forever.

Also: the Enishi arc contains Aoshi and Misao (and a scary shit-ton of Aoshi/Misao subtext), and Vathara has only recently started writing Aoshi into stuff. For the most part, she seems to prefer the core Kenshin-gumi to the Oniwabanshuu satellites. Which, you know, can't blame her; her Writer On Board pairing is Kenshin/Kaoru, and Sano/Megumi and Aoshi/Misao kind of distract from that.

But dear god do I want the sequel to "Witchy Woman" so bad. Just think, Shishio as a Wyght. YES PLEASE.
