So it's official: I'm now so stressed that I'm half a step from tears at the best of moments and puking's not far behind. I seriously almost left my desk to hide in the bathroom and cry.

I nearly broke down at my desk when I was told to bill Columbia, then again when told that Columbia bills dental, and then I got nine already billed in a row...

I am terrified of not working here, but. I will be so vindictively glad to turn in my notice.

Oh sweetheart. *hugs tightly* I think you need to get out of here, or at least take a step back for a while. I don't know how possible that is, butnit sounds like you should considermit.

Is there anyone at your work you can talk to to maybe reduce stress a little?

/hugs. I agree, but not permitted to take off until march -- but.I hand in my notice this Friday.

And everyone at work is just as stressed.

VERY glad you are handing in notice. That workplace sounds full of abuse. >:\ I know the US doesn't have the same workplace fairness laws in place as we so but JFC ....

Hahahaha oh god did I ever tell you about our mandatory Employee of the Month meetings? Oh, this is a good one: can't work through 'em. Can't leave early.

Ohhhh yes I do remember the praying at the end of meetings thing. Mostly because I laughed so hard I nearly choked.

Nope! They sent out a memo saying they won't grant time off requests until March -- and anybody not putting in 56 hours a week will receive "corrective action"

Is that even LEGAL?

Pretty sure they don't much care about "legal." Or even what opens them up for lawsuits.

Then again, this is TN, and as long as you don't have 15-year-olds operating heavy machinery, 17-year-olds working at a topless bar, or refuse to provide half-hour lunch breaks for shifts 5.5 hours or longer, the law doesn't much care.
