Four years today.
Four years ago yesterday, she was alive.
I still have that one regret. But apart from that, I've been mostly okay all day. I've got white roses for her, since I couldn't find yellow. I've made nine little mini tart versions of her cheesecake. It's almost been just another day for me.
I've got most of my clothes packed. I'm now officially living out of a laundry basket. The gaming stuff (apart from the PS3, which will be a piece of cake) is packed. All that's really left is my books.
I can't really begin to say how sad I'll be to leave here. I'll be persona non grata once I go, I suspect, and I feel closer to her in her kitchen than I've ever felt at her grave.
I think she rests in peace. And that's going to have to be enough.
