In other news

New phone today. No upgrade, and Jesus, retail is even more hideous than anything lurking on the internet.

It's a LG en-V3, maroon because we all know I prefer red over blue (but green over red, is that fucked up or what?). Name is undecided, most likely Dart or Zieg, because Legend of Dragoon references are for the win. I miss that game. (No matter how hilariously bad it was. GODDAMN YOU RING THAT DID ALL THE COMBOS AUTOMATICALLY BUT LIKE HALVED THE DAMAGE/EXP YOU GOT WHICH WAS YOU EVEN WANTED TO DO ALL THE DAMN COMBOS ANYWAY. GODDAMN YOU! TO HELL!)

In other news, very nearly every time I see her, my mother ends up needing steroids to widen her windpipe and help her breathe. 'roids, by the way, fuck with her head and make her a total bitchface. So I've been dealing with mother being bitchcakes all day.

And today's her birthday. Naturally, everything about her birthday must be perfect and wonderful and nobody is allowed to call her on being an asshole, even when she's so full of shit it's coming out her mouth.

Rick and I got her a brand new phone. Paid straight retail for it, since she used our last upgrade (which was my upgrade, by the way, which I had been looking forward to using) and we don't get another for a month. And let me tell you, this was not a cheap thing, either.

Her response? "...it's not a Blackberry?"

I could have fucking killed her right then and there, swear to god. It's a damn good thing I own God of War, let me tell you, because had I not gone off to punt virtual puppies and gouge out a minotaur's eyes, I probably would have slapped her.

To end on a positive note, I found $100 bill in a parking lot today. I'm not even kidding. A real, genuine, actual, NOT Monopoly money $100 bill.
