Seriously, Neil, you are usually so good and on the ball! I get that we're all a bit blind to our S/O's faults, but seriously! A "no comment" might have been a better idea!

In other news, RPattz is still trying to get fired. I don't even know where to start with this.
So there's been a lot of teal deer talk about this matter. I'm not into shota, chan, loli, or bestiality. I'm also not particularly into m/m slash. Or male characters at all, really.
But this is so much bullshit. That anyone could honestly believe that we should value fictional children, as in not real children, as in children who never have and never will exist over freedom of speech, freedom of commerce, etc., boggles my brain.
You know what else boggles my brain? Why the fuck are there laws regarding "obscenity" that are being applied to pornography? It's pornography. Its focus is automatically on the nasty fish-smelling underbelly of adult interactions. In one sense or another, it is all obscene. Why bother differentiating between "obscene" and "non-obscene" when it is all about what people do with their reproductive organs? When so little of it as to be statistically none of it has or encourages any respect for women or other human beings fullstop?
Really, when mainstream porn is what it is, what makes completely imaginary, no physical people involved lolicon bestiality any worse? (And if this is coming from some whacked-out "Christian Family Values" perspective, I will very quietly remind you that even the fundies will tell you that Sin is Sin is Sin is Sin is Sin, whether it's molesting real live actual small children, murdering people, or saying "fuck you" to your mom.)
TL;DR: Just because you don't like something doesn't mean it has no right to exist, and censoring pornography without outlawing the entire industry is dumb.
